Light & Set Design

Ordinary poison (Venenos Cotidianos) by Adriano Numa
Stage Director: Javier Ibargüengoitia
Teatro Julio Prieto
Mexico-City
August - September 2012

Work description: Since the story develops in various places (e.g. apartments, bar, shop, super market), the idea for the stage direction was to make a dynamic theatrical play with fast transitions between the scenes. For that reason the set design was designed to be more referential than realistic.

The light design had to support this main idea, which is why I created the atmospheres with more so-called "key lights" rather than general ambient lighting.
