My role: Conception of the idea, researcher and light designer

Project description: For me it was important to present a project that contribute to experiment different and attractive visual space with light design and new materials. In this case, I decided to use a natural and ordinary element in our life: salt.

I learned that the crystalline salt system is cubic, which is an isometric crystal property that determines the shape and optical properties. This means that the refraction index of the salt remains constant in all directions. Due to this property I was able to control the reflections of the light for the spectator's benefit.
